CALENDULA, also known as pot marigold, is easily confused with Marigolds (tagetes),
however they are not the same. The ornamental marigold (tagetes) does not have the same
medicinal properties as Calendula. Calendula is native to Southern Europe and is easily grown all throughout the U.S. It is one of the easiest herbs to grow and brightens every garden with its beautiful happy little flowers.
Calendula is not only beautiful in the garden it is an excellent companion plant. It attracts many beneficial insects to the garden such as hoverflies, robber flies, predatory wasps, Lacewings and lady bugs.
